General Financial Information
It is the policy of North Adams Regional Hospital to require each patient to present a copy of their most recent insurance cards when arriving at the hospital for service. This is done to ensure that the appropriate insurance carrier is billed for any services rendered.
Patients are required to pay their co-payment amount at the time of service. If payment cannot be made at the time of service, a payment plan can be developed to meet the individual patient needs.
For patient who do not have insurance coverage or who are underinsured, North Adams Regional Hospital offers the services of Ecu-Healthcare. Ecu-Health Care, located in room 208 of the Doctor’s building, enrolls individuals into all Massachusetts and Vermont public health insurance programs. By law, all Massachusetts residents age 18 and over are now required to have health insurance. Ecu-Health Care provides guidance to help individuals comply with the requirement, and can enroll individuals into all available programs. For more information call 413-663-8711.
For patients who are uninsured but do not meet charity care guidelines, North Adams Regional Hospital offers a 30% discount on billed charges. Please contact the business office for further details.
