CPR courses offered in April

(March 30, 2010) Northern Berkshire Healthcare has scheduled First Aid with CPR and AED and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers classes in April. Heartsaver First Aid with CPR/AED is scheduled for Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All classes will be held in the community room at the VNA/Hospice on Curran Highway in North Adams. Employees from the REACH for Community Health Department at North Adams Regional Hospital are certified by the American Heart Association to conduct the classes.
Each course uses a “practice while watching” method. The student will be given a workbook that includes a CD prior to the class. The fee for Heartsaver First Aid with CPR/AED is $65. If students only wish to take the CPR component, the cost is $40. The fee for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is $65.The fee covers the cost of instruction, the student workbook and certification card.
