|NBH stroke support group meets November 10|

(NORTH ADAMS, MA) Northern Berkshire Healthcare’s Stroke Support Group will meet Thursday, November 10, at the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire’s Community Room from noon to 2 p.m. The group is free and open to those who are recovering from a stroke, family members, and caregivers of stroke patients. Space is limited.
The meeting will include a presentation by physical therapist Tamaryn Clowdus, who will be demonstrating simple stretches to help muscles be more flexible to avoid the risk of falling. She will provide a "Fall Risk" screening for interested participants. There will be time for questions and answers about post-stroke rehabilitation. Tamaryn Clowdus earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. Her work at the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire focuses on geriatric rehabilitation.
Survivors, caregivers, and family members will be able to network and also talk about issues that are important to them.
