|Flu clinics scheduled in November|

(Nov. 8, 2011) The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire will hold five additional flu vaccination clinics in November. The clinics are open to any individual age 18 and older. There is no charge for the vaccine but donations will be accepted to offset the cost of the clinics.
Clinics will be held at:
Clarksburg Senior Center, Monday, Nov. 14 from 9-11 a.m.
The Spitzer Center in North Adams, Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 9-11 a.m.
Columbia Valley Housing Adams, Thursday, Nov. 17 from 9-11 a.m.
The Harper Center in Williamstown, Friday, Nov. 18 from 1-3 p.m.
Adams Council on Aging, Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 1-3 p.m.
“Seasonal” flu vaccine helps to protect individuals against three identified strains of flu.
An annual seasonal flu shot is recommended for anyone over the age of 65 or who has a chronic illness, and for those who wish to reduce the risk of contracting the flu this winter. It is still important to be vaccinated against seasonal flu, which is responsible for thousands of deaths each year.
