Northern Berkshire Healthcare is proud to be among healthcare organizations that participate in Schwartz Center Rounds, a multidisciplinary forum where caregivers discuss difficult and emotional and social issues that arise in caring for patients. A national program with sites across the country, Schwartz Center Rounds are partially funded by the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center, a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing compassionate healthcare.
NARH was the first hospital in our region to participate in Schwartz Center Rounds, and has held Rounds monthly since January 2001. Caregivers attend from all of NBH’s family of healthcare providers – North Adams Regional Hospital, Sweet Brook Transitional Care & Living Centers, the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire, Sweetwood, and the REACH Community Health Foundation – to share experiences and reactions.
