Get With The Guidelines
The American Heart Association proudly recognizes North Adams Regional Hospital for its achievement in the AHA's Get With The Guidelines program.
North Adams Regional Hospital is one of a group of select hospitals in the United States to be recognized in US News & World Report’s August 2011 “America’s Best Hospitals” issue. The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association recognizes NARH for its high level of achievement in cardiac and stroke patient care. NARH won gold awards in both categories from the AHA’s Get With the Guidelines program this year.
Hospitals recognized in each category achieve at least 85 percent compliance to Get With The Guidelines measures. Those achieving 85 percent compliance for 24 consecutive months – as NARH did – receive the Gold Performance Achievement Award.
Harvard Pilgrim Hospital Honor Roll
North Adams Regional Hospital has been named to the 2011 Harvard Pilgrim Hospital Honor Roll for quality of care. The Hospital Honor Roll names hospitals whose performance was among the top 25% of those measured nationally on a set of quality indicators. NARH is among a small group of 13 hospitals in Massachusetts named to the Honor Roll.
The criteria include clinical quality, patient experience, and patient safety measures as reported by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on Hospital Compare, and by the Leapfrog Group.
